February 29, 2008 (Celebmagic) - Zubeidaa actress, Karisma Kapoor is set to resume her acting career after a five year hiatus.

Karisma has signed up for the Hindi remake of a Tamil film, June R, by South director Revathi Varma.

The film which explores a mother daughter relationship will likely include Shabana Azmi or Rekha.

It’ll be the first Hindi film by Revathi who wrote and directed June R.

Karisma’s former business manager, Zahid Khan, who is now his sister Kareena’s secretary denies the news.

“No, this is not true. There has been no meeting with Lolo. I have nothing to say on the subject,” Khan asserts.

She took a break from acting in 2003. Karisma last acted in Baaz: A Bird in Danger (2003) directed by Tinnu Verma with co-stars Jackie Shroff, Suniel Shetty.

Karisma is known for her roles in Andaz Apna Apna (1994), Raja Hindustani (1996), Dil To Pagal Hai (1997), Biwi No.1 (1999), Fiza (2000) and Zubeidaa (2001).
