Amisha Patel is poised to set the silver screen on fire with her sizzling act in the upcoming Yash Raj production film Thoda Pyar Thoda Magic.

The glamorous actress, who is paired opposite actor Saif Ali Khan  in a scorching item number Lazy Lamhe admits it is really a hot number.

“Well, whether I am looking sexy or not, you have to watch the film, but yes for the first time I am wearing clothes that I never wore before,” says the sultry actress, who made her acting debut with the blockbuster Kaho Na Pyar Hai in 2000.

“This song is really hot and will be the turning point of the film. You will see much more of me. My character Mallaika is different, but entertaining in this movie,” she says.

Amisha, who has stayed away from the big screen for quite sometime, will be seen together with Rani Mukherji [Images] and Saif Ali Khan. This film would also be the first time that Amisha and Saif Ali Khan would be seen together on-screen.

The beautiful actress also declined that she is following the ‘dare bare’ trend set by other actresses like Soha Ali Khan who posed for a magazine shoot or Kareena Kapoor  who was seen in a sexy bikini avatar in Yash Raj’s recently released Tashan.

“No, it has no connection with all those dare bare trend going on in Bollywood,” she clarifies adding that ‘It was the demand of the character.

Amisha Patel’s surprise pull out from Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Billo Barber‘, days before production was due to start, surprised industry watchers, because Amisha was nearly out of work at that time.

A source now tells us that her withdrawal was prompted by her new mentor in the industry - Aditya Chopra.

Despite having opened her career with two block buster films opposite A-list stars - Kaho Naa…Pyar Hai (2000) with Hrithik Roshan and Gadar Ek Prem Katha (2001) with Sunny Deol, Amisha’s career floundered.

Lately, she has been in the news for all the wrong reasons - her estranged relationship with her parents and actor brother, Ashmit Patel; her break up with filmmaker Vikram Bhatt, and now her romance with Kanav Puri. Amisha’s only A-list film in hand is Yash Raj’s co-production with Kunal Kohli, Thoda Pyar Thoda Magic, which is due for release on June 27.

“Just as this film was nearing completion, Aditya took up the responsibility of resurrecting Amisha’s down-in-the-dumps career on himself,” our source tells us.

“He signed her up for two more films under his Yash Raj banner and started guiding her career moves in Bollywood. One of the most important instruction he gave her was not to sign anymore films that featured her in small inconsequential roles.

“Amisha was confirmed to play Irrfan Khan’s wife in Billo Barber. She was excited abut the film despite her short role in it, because there was an opportunity to do a few scenes with King Khan. But Aditya was not willing to let his leading lady do such an insignificant part, and he told Amisha as much.

“Without wasting any time, Amisha told Priyadarshan that she was withdrawing. The Billo Barber producers, who had already faced a tough time finding their Barber’s wife, were left helpless. Luckily for them, Lara Dutta stepped in.

“Thesedays, Amisha cannot hide her excitement over the special attention that she is getting from the Yash Raj scion. However, it is making Rani Mukerji a little insecure, because she only has the Yash Raj banner and special friend Aditya to fall back upon, now that her market value has plummeted,” the source adds saucily.
Just a few days ago, one heard of Tabu turning down a role in Shah Rukh’s Billoo Barber, which is being directed by Priydarshan. The film is being produced by SRK’s production house Red Chillies and will star SRK and Irrfan Khan in the lead roles.

Tabu is believed to have had two reasons for turning down SRK’s offer. Firstly, she wasn’t too keen to act with Irrfan Khan and secondly, the role was not meaty enough to excite her. Amisha Patel was then roped in by the makers. But now it seems that even Amisha has opted out of the film due to the same reason– the role is too miniscule. The film which is based on the story of Krishna and Sudama, will naturally centre on SRK and Irrfan Khan. Amisha rightly feels that she may be caught in the same situation as in Priyadarshan’s Bhool Bhulaiya, where she hardly had anything to do. The role offered to her here was that of Billo Barber’s wife. Amisha is trying to resurrect her career and feels that small appearances like the one in Billoo Barber will not be of any help to her. Anyway with Amisha out, it seems Priyadarshan may just opt for someone from the South as he wants to start the film soon.
