She was asked if she would return to working in the South: “I love movies be it in any language Tamil, Hindi or English,” she explained, “I like movies which have something that excites me.

Tamil films are very special to me, I did my debut movie opposite Vijay in Tamizhan, and Tamil movies will always be close to my heart since I learnt a lot from them. I would love to come back and do a movie here.”

The 24-year-old star with an endearing smile was photographed for the issue by Jason Bell in a Versace silk dress and drop earring by Bvlgari.

Rituparna Som, who caught up with the very busy Bollywood star in New York, asked her if she craves moments of privacy.

“I love every minute of being on a set,” Katrina exclaimed. “I was incredibly nervous the first time I was on camera, and my heart stopped every time I heard the camera whirr. But now, I’m most comfortable in front of 300 people on set. Otherwise…”

“I’m lost. It’s too much quiet, too much alone,” she added after a pause,
